Millions of people worldwide take a fish oil supplement. If you do and you experience fishy burps after, it is more than likely your supplement is rancid. Fish oil contains highly unsaturated fats (EPA and DHA) which are naturally prone to oxidation when exposed to heat, light, oxygen or time. When oxidation occurs, the oil can become rancid. Other signs of rancid fish oil: · A strong fishy smell or taste · Fishy burps · Reduced effectiveness · Formation of potentially harmful oxidation products If you are into science, check out this article by Dr. Paul Clayton. Hello Reader, Yes, still here but really enjoying the down time. A quick email for you today. Today, I made my dad's homemade caramel recipe. Fond memories of my childhood. Of course one of the ingredients, Karo syrup. I haven't used this stuff for a very long time. I wanted to pass along a tip. Some of you may know it but here we are.
